He would be a self-confessed cannibal and that makes him a sociopath (applying legal constraints in being one); a Doctor as he is referred to making him a Psychiatrist, a man who understands the mind, thus an intelligent one; Starling becomes his muse and she becomes his protege and its just another example of how the complicated and manipulative dark side of human beings can still be attractive nevertheless make an undeniably classical character like Hannibal with a little help from Hopkins ofcourse...
